RUNNING FOR D*CK

Happy New Year!
The countdown is over and here comes the endless conversations about everyone’s new year resolutions. I know, I know, it gets annoying hearing about all the new goals and habits people talk about picking up only to get dropped by most after a few months in, but for those of you wanting to do a little better in bed, running more may be just what you need.

Many may groan at the thought of running or getting involved in any form of an intense cardio workout. The thought of putting your man parts in some uncomfortable situations like running on a hot afternoon especially with minimal support keeping your prized jewels together, but hear us out as we bring you some scientifically-backed facts.

Bigger orgasms & higher libidos
One University of California study found that after following a moderate cardio and aerobic regime four times a week for nine months, male subjects had sex 30% more often, and with 26% more orgasms. A second study, conducted with volunteers of both sexes over a period of 18 years at the Centre for Marital and Sexual Studies in Long Beach, California, found regular exercisers consistently reached orgasm easiest and most often.

More stamina for more fun
According to a study published in the American Journal of Cardiology, it seems there’s a link between treadmill endurance and sexual endurance. The results clearly showed a ratio of each extra minute lasted on the treadmill translating to an extra two to three minutes of sexual activity.

Explosive loads
Running has been proven to improve fertility and although enhancing your semen might not matter to some queer men. However, an explosive load can be a load of fun! No matter your position, that extra stimulation in your core and legs lead to better controls of those muscles during an orgasm while boosting testosterone.

Stronger and harder erections
Running increases the circulation which improves blood flow throughout the body as well as blood vessel health, making sure your heart pumps better to where it matters. Running also helps to keep your weight down, a high body mass index has been shown to have a significant impact on both sperm count and the chances of erectile dysfunction. Research shows that the more fat you carry, the greater your chances of suffering from erectile dysfunction, obesity, diabetes and vascular diseases that can affect your blood flow. Increasing your running can improve matters, especially in middle age: a Harvard University study found that men over the age of 50 who run for at least three hours a week have a 30 per cent lower risk of impotence than those who do little or no exercise.

Less stress for a better time
If you feel good after a run, there’s a scientific explanation as to why this is the case. Running stimulates the production of feel-good chemicals known as endorphins which are potent mood regulators. These are the chemicals that make you feel a runner’s high after a long and strenuous run. This doesn’t only give your mental health a boost on the spot, but it’s great for your sexual health too. When you’re riddled with stress hormones like epinephrine and cortisol, your mind will have a tough time telling your body to get erect.

However, don’t overdo it. An old study has shown that if you run roughly 67 miles or more every week, you may suffer a 28 percent drop in circulating testosterone, as well as lower semen quality. Some newer research has also raised similar concerns in which running too many miles causes an inflammatory response in your body that’s not helpful for sperm health. So as long as you keep that in mind, you’re bound to be a better you both physically, mentally and sexually!
