Fashion week is around the corner and with the September issue of Vogue always eagerly anticipated, we shed light on some of our most impactful sisters within the fashion industry. Get ready to be blown away by these powerhouses: 

 ALEX CONSANI: 

At just 19 years old, this Bay Area native burst onto the scene under the spotlight of Tom Ford's late 2021 show and hasn't hit the brakes since. 18 catwalks were conquered in the past year alone, a feat already surpassed in the whirlwind of 2023. With the upcoming Spring/Summer '24 shows ahead, it's anticipated that Alex will double those numbers without skipping a beat.

Before her collaboration with IMG, Alex made waves with Slay Model Management, sharing space with Dominique Jackson prior to her Pose fame.

 TEDDY QUINLIVAN:

Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Quinlivan pursued her education in a public school setting. Transitioning at the age of 16, she has steadfastly presented herself as her authentic, cisgender self ever since. Her journey into the world of modeling saw a remarkable turning point when Louis Vuitton's creative director, Nicolas Ghesquière, discovered her in 2015. This discovery marked her exclusive debut in Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2016 show.

Subsequently, Quinlivan's career soared, gracing catwalks for luminaries such as Saint Laurent, Dior, Gucci, Prada, and Chanel. Her features adorned the pages of esteemed publications including American Vogue, Vogue Japan, Love magazine, and Teen Vogue.

Valentina Sampaio's groundbreaking journey began with a historic feat—she secured her place as the first transgender model to grace the cover of Vogue Paris in the illustrious March 2017 issue. Born in Brazil and at 5’9”, Valentina's signature features include her captivating hazel eyes and a cascade of dark brown hair.

Valentina took center stage in a Marc Jacobs Beauty campaign, adding allure to the Holiday 2017 season. The same year witnessed her presence gracing the covers of renowned publications like Vogue Brazil, ISSUE Chile, and ELLE Brazil. Valentina's impact in the lingerie realm was also undeniable as she assumed the role of the face for Alexandre Herchcovitch for Hope lingerie in 2017.

However, her milestones didn't stop there. In 2019, Valentina carved out history once again by becoming the inaugural transgender model to be featured by Victoria’s Secret. Her journey further unfolded in the iconic pages of Sports Illustrated: Swimsuit Issue 2020, cementing her as a trailblazer and a symbol of progress in the realm of diversity and representation within the fashion industry.

Hailing from Brazil, Marcela found her home under the umbrella of WAY models. Her journey ignited at São Paulo Fashion Week, where she embarked on her modeling odyssey, gracing the runways for esteemed Brazilian designers.

Her presence isn't confined to the runway alone—she's a familiar face in campaign commercials and on the catwalk. Her impact resonates across prestigious magazines like Cosmopolitan, Vogue, Glamour, and Bazaar, etching her name as a noteworthy figure in the fashion realm. A trailblazer, she carved history by becoming the first trans woman to feature in a Pantene ad in Latin America. Her portfolio also boasts prominent campaigns for Vogue Eyewear and FILA.
